    : Your cupboard door must be at least 3/8” (1.1 cm) thick to securely hold the screws and frame. Thinner doors may require alternative mounting solutions—contact our support team for advice.

  2. Sink Clearance

    : Measure the space under your sink to confirm there’s enough clearance when the door is closed. The Rack Sack should not touch the sink bottom or pipes to avoid damage or interference. If clearance is tight, consider our compact model. Additionally, always install on a flat, stable surface and double-check screw tightness to prevent any wobbling.

If your Rack Sack lid isn’t staying open as designed, a minor adjustment can fix it quickly:

  1. Identify the pivot arm—the metal rod that allows the lid to rotate.
  2. Using pliers or vice grips, gently bend the pivot arm slightly back toward the cupboard door. This increases tension and helps the lid hold its position. Test the lid after the adjustment. However, for the best fit and security, we recommend using them with Rack Sack wire frames, where the built-in handles lock into place seamlessly.

While it’s possible to try other brands, we strongly recommend sticking with official Rack Sack refill bags for optimal performance. Our bags feature specially designed handles that hook securely onto the wire frame’s side hooks, preventing slippage and ensuring a mess-free experience.   • 5 Gallon (21 Liter): This is the recommended size for the best fit and maximum capacity. Hook the Lower Bag Support (LBS) onto the lower crossbar during installation.

  • 3 Gallon (15 Liter)

    : For smaller spaces or lighter use, hook the LBS onto the higher crossbar (closest to the main keyhole backer plate). If the 15L bag still feels too small, double-check your adjustment and ensure the frame is set correctly. We discontinued the older Rack Sack model, which featured a lightweight lid without a storage compartment, to introduce an upgraded version with enhanced durability and functionality. The new lid is sturdier and includes a built-in storage section, making it more practical for everyday use.
