Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I find Rack Sack products?

You can purchase online on our website. If you prefer to buy instore, you can find Rack Sack wireframes and refill bags in some of the coolest stores around , including Canadian Tire and Home Hardware.

Installing Rack Sack wire frames is a piece of cake! But don’t let that fool you – this is some serious DIY business. First, grab your trusty screwdriver (or borrow one from your neighbor). Secondly, follow the five easy steps that come with the wire frame. But if you prefer to learn by watching, fear not! There’s a helpful video tutorial available online that walks you through the installation process step by step. It’s like having a personal DIY coach guiding you along the way. And the best part? Once you’ve completed the installation, you’ll have a cleaner and more organized home – all thanks to your handy work. So put on your tool belt, crank up some tunes, and let’s get started!

1. Ensure that your cupboard door frame meets the minimum thickness requirement. (It should be at least 3/8” or 1.1 cm.)

2. Verify that you have adequate sink clearance so that when the cupboard door is closed, the Rack Sack does not come into contact with the bottom of your sink.

If the Rack Sack lid does not remain open after installation as intended, it may need a simple adjustment:

  1. Locate the pivot arm that the lid rotates on.
  2. Using a pair of pliers or vice grips, gently bend the pivot arm back toward the cupboard door.

Yes, as long as your bin’s capacity fits the size of Rack Sack’s refill bag.

Rack Sack refill bags are specially designed with handles. Those handles give a super secure fit to our wire frames. That means you can hook those bags around the side hooks without any worries. But other brands on the market? Sorry, not gonna cut it. Without those handy handles, they’re just gonna flop around and make a mess of things. So, if you want to keep things steady and secure in your Rack Sack, make sure you stick with our refill bags.

The new Rack Sack frame is adjustable during installation to support two sizes:

  • 5 Gallon (21 Litre) – recommended for best fit

  • 3 Gallon (15 Litre) – optional smaller capacity

To adjust the size:

  • If you’re using a 21 L bag, then choose to hook the LBS (Lower Bag Support) on the lower crossbar.

  • If you’re using a 15 L bag, hook the LBS on the higher crossbar (the bar closest to the main keyhole backer plate).

Bonus: The 15 L bag is also compatible with the Super Compact Rack, making it a versatile option for both rack sizes.

We no longer produce the older Rack Sack model with the lightweight lid and without the storage compartment.

The new model features a sturdier, multi-functional lid that includes a storage section. If the lid does not remain open after installation, there’s a quick fix:
Take a pair of pliers or vice grips and slightly bend the pivot arm (the metal piece the lid rotates on) back towards the cupboard door. This small adjustment helps the lid stay open during use.
